Re-launch of the Webfocus Design Blog

Welcome again to the Webfocus Design blog !

Recently, we have bettered our service offer and, following those changes, we decided to rebuild our blog using a different technological platform. One one hand, we’ve added PHP development to our existing Web development services. With PHP, we’ll be able to address a wider array of needs and projects, especially those where the use of open-source software is mandatory.

Furthermore, we’re now offering WordPress installation, design, configuration, development and management services.

The Mysteries of Web Hosting – Part 1

In this article, I have decided to touch on a subject that may be confusing for many non-Web professionals: Web Hosting. While it is easy to understand what a Web Host does on a basic level, it can be much harder to sift through all the different options and decide which hosting service provider is right for your needs.

Project: Entraide pour Hommes Vallée-du-Richelieu Longueuil

I worked on the complete redesign of this organization’s branding. I started with the color scheme and the logo which now reflects the organization’s mission a lot better. Then, after launching the new site, I moved on to the redesign of their entire printed materials including business cards, letterhead, envelopes, ad displays, poster, pocket envelopes, etc.

I am now maintaining the site on an ongoing basis (maintenance contract) and I design the organization’s publicity materials as needed.

I rebuilt this very large site from scratch using today’s industry standards, revised its structure and made its graphical interface more usable and accessible.
